manifestations these days are like "I will never let any of my stories get eaten by big publishing. All of my narrative work will get to keep its teeth and there will only be a small audience who loves it and will sniff it out like a shark smelling blood. amen"

#like.#what's the reason you publish a book thru a publisher. the large audience/distribution mainly #because it's certainly not for the money #and when I don't even want my art available to people at that scale...#for me personally there are no upsides left to being published commercially #'don't you want to make a book and share your story/art with the whole worl-'#actually I'd rather eat cement thx. goodtbye #ideally my work is for 30-50 enthusiastic freaks maximum #considering taking the webcmic off of the devil t@pas and migrating to an official website
